Maicon’s header seven minutes into second half was enough for Porto to cancel excellent Willian equaliser from the first half and defeat Chelsea in the second Champions league group game.

Chelsea opened the match well, creating couple of good chances, but Asmir Begović was called in to action as well, when he saved Yacine Brahimi’s attempt.
Six minutes before the break the hosts took the lead. Brahimi was the one to cut inside and Begović did well to parry his shot, but Andre Andre was at the perfect place and he volleyed the rebound behind Bosnian international.

Chelsea responded quickly. Ramires was brought down on the edge of the area and Willian curled home his third free-kick of the season, leaving Casillas with no chance.

However, the second half did not start well for the Blues. Maicon headed the cross from the corner in the odd fashion and it went in through unguarded near post past the helpless Begović.

Chelsea created some good opportunities for the equaliser, including Willian hitting the crossbar, but the hosts managed to save the lead and celebrate their first win in the group stage. After two matches played Porto has 4 points, same as Dynamo Kiev, who defeated Maccabi in Tel Aviv.

Chelsea host Southampton on Saturday when we return to Premier League action.
