The international break is over and it is now time for the Potters to take another big challenge. This Saturday Stoke City travels to London to face the league leaders Chelsea, team that conceded just eight goals in 22 Premier league home games.
“It’s always difficult to play there”, says Asmir. “But, there is no better way to challenge yourself than playing the best teams. Chelsea has a great team, they deserve to be on the top”.
The last time Stoke won a league game at Stamford Bridge was in January 1974, when Sir Geoff Hurst scored the only goal of the match from the penalty spot. The last point City earned from an away game at Chelsea came in December 1984.
“The stats does not look good, but it’s never good to look over your shoulder”, explains Begovic. “This is a new match, new chance and we’ll do our best to surprise them”.
